We aim to provide an engaging, playful environment for mental health practitioners, such as counsellors, psychotherapists, and teachers, to encourage clients to embrace their playful, imaginative, creative selves, which in turn promotes health and wellbeing. The COVID pandemic has highlighted a need to be flexible about finding ways to be creatively supportive, whilst being unable, at times, to be together in person.
Therapy Fairground invites you to ‘be’ together in a therapeutic virtual space. As you journey with one another to different areas of the Fairground, discover attractions that support and explore communication, development, self-awareness, emotional challenges and more. Fairgrounds frequently create a sense of intrigue, excitement, fear and joy. Due to their often transitory nature, they can also generate a sense of mystery: Where did it come from? How long will it stay? Where will it travel to next? Fairgrounds create a moment in time, where you are invited to try something new, explore something different and create memories as souvenirs.
On Saturday 4th October 2025, we gathered to mark 25 years of CAST with a rich, reflective, and celebratory day. Tutors led a powerful workshop exploring themes of intersectionality, diversity, and power within the supervisory relationship. We also delved into the 7 modes, myth, playback, and the dilemmas that arise in supervision – all held with depth, warmth, and pace.
The day ended with a joyful celebration of CAST's 25 years, now held at Central, with Alyson Coleman as CAST caretaker. We shared stories, laughter, and "Colin the Cake" while fondly saying goodbye to Alison and Jeni, who will be deeply missed as they step into new chapters. A heartfelt thank you to all who have shaped CAST – past, present, and future.
Thank you also to the staff at Central who provided the most delicious feast for our celebration and looked after us throughout the day.
